Here are nine original photos that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains at the Brickyard Crossing ~ located just West of Altoona, Pennsylvania ~ during 1964 and 1965.

Brickyard. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 29 November 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engine #7255 and three other units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by EMD. #7255 is an EFS-17M built in 1959 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They are travelling down the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve and through Altoona to the Enola Yards with a 117-car mixed-cargo freight train. The caboose is #477484.

Brickyard. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 29 November 1964. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #7241 and #2251. Both were built by EMD. #7241 is an EFS-17M built in 1959 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. #2251 is an EF-22 built in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They are travelling down the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve and through Altoona to the Enola Yards with a train of 98 "Ore Jennies." The caboose is #477448.

Brickyard. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive at the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 18 July 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #8667, an AS-18AM built by the American Locomotive Company during 1958 and rated at 1,800 horsepower. It is returning to East Altoona after helping or pushing a train up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin, Pennsylvania.

Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2516, #2329, and #2370. #2516 is a GF-25 built by GE in 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2329 and #2370 are EF-22's built by EMD in 1965 and rated at 2,200 horsepower each. They are pulling a 68-car westbound mixed-cargo freight train with caboose #477863. There are also two pushers on the end: PRR engines #6302 and #6307.

Brickyard. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains at the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 18 July 1965. On the right (R to L) are PRR engines #6307 and #6302. Both are AF-27's built by the American Locomotive Company during 1965 and rated at 2,700 horsepower each. They are pushing a 68-car westbound mixed-cargo freight train up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West. On the left (R to L) are PRR engines #2357, #2535, #7112, and #7033. #2357 is an EF-25 built by EMD in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling ~ or, rather, braking ~ an 83-car eastbound mixed-cargo freight train with caboose #477031. That's the Brickyard Crossing in the foreground!

Brickyard. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 18 July 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #5703, #5862-B, and #5848. All were built by EMD. #5703 is an EP-22 built in 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #5862-B and #5848 are EP-20's and rated at 2,000 horsepower each; #5862-B was built in 1948, but #5848 was built in 1947. They are pulling an 18-car eastbound passenger train and will soon stop at the Passenger Station in Altoona. At that point, not only will passengers exit and board the train, but both engine and train crews will change.

They are pulling a 93-car westbound mixed-cargo freight train with caboose #477807. There are also two pushers on the end: PRR engines #8608 and #8613.
