| Missouri Pacific 1964 was photographed at the former MP-T&P Avondale Yard, across the Mississippi River from New Orleans. This unit was constructed in 1962 as Missouri Pacific 457, one of 100 MP low-nose GP18's built in 1962-63 using trucks and other components from traded-in Alco Fa and FB units. The 1964 was retired in November 1981, during the initial retirement of MP GP18's, and scrapped. |
