SP Houston-Birmingham run-through train HOSOM waits at the east end of the Huey P. Long Bridge for a route onto the NS Back Belt. In eight miles - at Milepost NOT 7.6 - the train will become NS No. 194. Today's power is NS C39-8 8615, SP SD45T-2 9257 and SP SD45R 7503. The covered hoppers on the front of the train are GWIX salt cars that were picked up from the Louisiana & Delta, and are on their way to Olin Chemical at Cleveland, Tennessee. |
