The National Park Service sponsors the re-enactment of the Golden Spike Ceremony near the famous Promontoy Point area. The "East" meets "West" in the form of two locomotive reporductions of the Union Pacific #110 and Central Pacific Jupiter who met nose to nose at the ceremony. An unknown rail fan photographer took this photo. No exact day in July of 1982 was given. |
