Photo provided by John Duresky who says "My grandfather Clarence Ichabod Whipple is in front of the 8012 at the Milwaukee Road roundhouse in La Crosse. He is the second person down under the #8 [below headlight] with his hands on his knee. I don't know when this photo was taken, best guess is around 1940 +/- 5 years."
