Trains rep  Contributor's Pick!       
In the late 70s, Trains magazine, during one of its motive power surveys, looked for a diesel that typified the power on American railroads. Their conclusion was that the unit that did so was B&O 3802. Here it is, some years later, trailing on an eastbound. Perhaps typically, it is the last unit of three on an othewise unremarkable train on an unremarkable day.
