| Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 6 June 1965. At the right is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8619, an AS-18M road switcher built by the American Locomotive Company in August of 1956 and rated at 1,800 horsepower. It's pulling a mixed-cargo train under the 7th Street Bridge and is headed to the Hollidaysburg Yards. Note that the westbound mixed-cargo freight train pulled by engine #9525 is still waiting!
