PRR Eastbound Yards, c. 1915
Old Time PRR. Here is a postal card view that was taken in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in the early 1900's. It shows the Pennsylvania Railroad's Eastbound Classification Yard. The structure visible on the left is the wooden coaling wharf with two hopper cars on it. "Bald Hill" is visible at the far left. The single-tracked girder bridge over the West Branch of the Juniata River is visible at the far right; it carries the Bedford-Cumberland Secondary Track. William E Burket Collection.
