| Former Illinois Central car 892 was coupled directly behind the power for today's train at the Monticello Railway Museum on 6-15-2019. I don't remember this car but it definitely makes a good addition to the fleet. My best guess is that this is a combine (coach-and-baggage). With the overcast and sometimes rainy sky that day, I couldn't tell if the car was painted a dark gray or a greenish color. Lettering is definitely in the gold family. Note the brake wheel at the right end of this car. |
