| This is more a Conrail mainenance of way car than business car as it serves as the "Technical Services Laboratory" (note title at left end). The backward history of this car is as follows - ex-NYC 648, exx-10648 Chicopee Falls, nee-10597. The PS LW Research and Test car was rebuilt from a 6 DBR/lounge floorplan. Conrail conductor Ken Taylor took this nice color slide of the car as it sits in the Pitcairn yard. |
