WAMX 4197 and mates rest under the glow of the yard lights
Something seems "off" about the long hood lettering on this recently painted red and gray unit vs. its predecessors. It's crammed too close at the end, and the ampersand isn't evenly spaced between the words. I'm told this was done at NRE in Silvis as the WSOR Horicon shop apparently is no more. Note it is also lacking the "YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AND THE OBLIGATION TO WORK SAFELY" notices above the steps that were ubiquitous on all previous red and gray repaints. This unit is ex-BN by way of FURX/NREX, and was previously in service at the Watco transloading site in Hammond, IN wearing their standard "yellow jacket" scheme.
