PRR 6803, M-1, c. 1953         
Here is an original photo by Douglas C. Jones that was taken from the 17th Street Bridge in the Juniata section of Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1953. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6803, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during August of 1926 and retired in December of 1955. Partially visible in the foreground is engine #6821, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by Baldwin in September of 1926 and retired in April of 1956.
