| A CN local, with a friendly engineer, emerges from behind the now idled Clearwater Paper as it heads northwest via former SOO rails at Fox Crossing, Winnebago Co., WI (formerly Town of Menasha, Winnebago Co., WI, from 1855 until 14 Apr. 2016) on 10 Apr. '22. The local was headed for Appleton, Little Chute, and Kaukauna. Clearwater Paper Corp., historically Kimberly-Clark’s Lakeview mill, 249 N. Lake St., Neenah, WI (physically located in Fox Crossing, Winnebago Co., WI (formerly Town of Menasha, Winnebago Co., WI, from 1855 until 14 Apr. 2016)), closed the mill in Jul. '21. It was purchased by KK Integrated Logistics ca. 12 Jan. '22. A new tenant is supposed to be moving into this portion of facility this month. I'm not sure who owns or occupies the blue building to the left, which used to receive rail service but hasn't for some time. |
