Blackhawk. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken at Marmon Army Depot on 27 July 1972. Photo Caption: "FM H12-44, U.S. Army #1829. Marmon Army Depot. 7-27-72." This locomotive is one of twenty 1,200-horsepower H12-44's purchased by the Army in 1953. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Fairbanks-Morse and Lima Diesels ~ Eastern and Canadian Roads" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (902-04).
