| Union Pacific SD40N 1601 was on the Wabtec test track, just north of the builder’s Fort Worth plant, along with Canadian National (former BNSF) C44-9W’s 4584, 4560, 4570, 4513, 4470, 4494, 4562 and new BNSF ET44AC 3649. The 1601 had received Wabtec’s LXA (LOCOTROL Expanded Architecture) remote control equipment at Metro East Industries in St. Louis and was at Fort Worth for some testing. |
