Title:
MG 2-6-0 #97 - Mobile & Gulf Ry
Description:
What an unusual final resting place for this little 2-6-0 Mogul bullt by Baldwin in October of 1925 originally for Havana Stock Co. It was never delivered but stored at Eddystone until being sold in 1932 to the Veterans Hospital in Perry Point, MD as their #1000. From there, it bounced over to QMC-USA as #5631 at Camp Davis, NC in 1941-42. Then it moved to the 829th Air Force Base in Godsen, AL as USATC #6932. Next it landed via WAA to the Mobile & Gulf Rwy in 1948 as MG #97 in Browville, AL. Then it appears to have moved over to Ocean City Western in Berlin, MD as their #97. Finally it ended up somehow at the Indiana Ry Museum in French Lick, IN. Wow, what a life!

MG 2-6-0 #97 - Mobile & Gulf Rwy
Description:
Here's a "dark side" view of the 2-6-0 Mogul with the long, varied and interesting history. How it ended up here is a mystery. Can anyone fill in the piedes from its last jobs in Brownville, AL and Berlin, MD to this Indiana location???
