Both are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5863 was constructed in February of 1948. In this context, this A-A set is pulling a passenger train under four-track Signal Bridge #2417 on its way down the Allegheny Mountains to Altoona and points East.
