Title:
FC&G SW900 900
Description:
Here was the Illinois Central Gulf’s lone SW900 still looking just like it did as Fernwood Columbia & Gulf 900. The FC&G was one of three Mississippi short lines that were included in the 1972 merger of the Gulf Mobile & Ohio with the Illinois Central. Although it was assigned ICG number 900, it was never repainted. It was sold to Kansas short line Hutchinson & Northern in 1983, where it received a 2-tone blue variation of its FC&G scheme and was renumbered 6.
