NST. Here is an image of a photo that was taken from the 24th Street Bridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1958. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8854 and two more "AS" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by the American Locomotive Company. #8854 is an AS-16MS road switcher constructed in January of 1952 and retired in January of 1967 after just 15 years of revenue service. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded.
